In June 1945, 158^th Company move to Leer on the Netherlands/Germany Border.

Here their major task is Railway Bridge construction. They work on the Leda bridge at Leer, and also the bridge over the river Ems at Elburgen.
This was to be 158^th Company's last posting, as the company prepared for disbandment.
