Sep 1st  1942 to Sep 30th   

Half company continued work on railway and port facilities in connexion with No 2 MP scheme at Cairnryan during whole of month.

No 3 section carried on with railway construction work at No 1 MP Garelochhead

½ No 2 section continued work at ministry of supply depot at Eastriggs

HQ No 4 section and ½ No 2 section employed on railway construction for LNER at Ardmore & Drymen under RCE No 1

 

 

Sept 5th

Trial by FGCM of Spr A Hammond 2006567 158th Coy at Ardmore House. Adjourned to 10/09/42 & 15/09/42

 

 

Sept 8th

Lt CE Clark posted to 607th R C Coy RE as 2nd In Command

 

 

Sept 12th

Lt JRA Griffith posted from 8th (Railway) Coy RE to 158th Coy Vice Capt FRL Barnwell

 

 

Sept 16th

Bulldozer tractor D4 broke down at Ardmore

 

 

Sept 19th

Capt Clark arrived Ardmore to complete stores investigation. Departed 23/09/42.

 

 

Sept 26th

Lt EJ Miall and ½ No 2 section returned to HQ from Eastriggs

 

 

Sept 29th

Lt-Col Illingworth & Major Cantrell inspected works

 

 

Sept 30th

Lt EJ Miall left for Stranraer to relieve Lt RCD Hughes for leave
